What is video otoscopy?
Video otoscopy is a diagnostic test performed by means of an all-in-one device allowing the physician to observe the inside of the patient’s ear, record a live video and play it back in front of the patient.
The device has an otoendoscope, light and a tiny camera with fiber optics that allows to see the inner ear and reproduce the whole image on a screen or monitor in front of the doctor.
Thanks to its modern system, this type of examination can improve the interaction with the patient since, by seeing the images, the patient can understand more clearly the ear’s inner condition.
